Look, don’t get us wrong – we love LOVE! But there are also a few things we don’t love. So, what better time to bare our souls than during the Month of Love?

Having worked in the marketing industry for decades, here are 4 things we’ve grown to un-love (don’t come for us).

 

#1 UNINVOLVED BRAND OWNERS

While an agency is at your service to create magic, having input from your team is essential for elevating a piece of marketing from good to great. That’s why we are constantly badgering you to give us news, views and photos that give us an inside look into your business. So, in 2024, we challenge you to get your hands a little dirty - we LOVE that!

 

#2 OVERCOMPLICATED DESIGN

Since we’re talking love, let’s KISS - Keep It Simple, Silly! Because ultimately simple is beautiful, and beautiful resonates with your customer. So often we encounter busy, clumsy designs on social media that do nothing to accentuate the brand. Let’s just keep it simple, and let your beautiful brand SHINE!

 

#3 TOOLS THAT (TRY TO) DO WHAT WE DO

We LOVE efficiency! But while tools like Canva and ChatGPT can be helpful, they will never be able to replace a creative mind. Why? Because they are just that - tools. They can't do the critical thinking for you, and the end product will always be just another generic piece of work, that will get low engagement.

 

#4 AGENCIES THAT LACK PASSION

When it comes to executing a flawless brand strategy, beautiful website design work, or sharp piece of copy, passion is everything. Which is why we DON’T love agencies that lack LOVE. When it becomes all about the money, money, money, passion goes out the door - and all you're left with is uninteresting content that doesn't speak to your customer.
